Mainly inspection of long, lengthy pipelines (including road crossings pipes which are inaccessible for conventional ultrasonic testing) by using the Teletest equipment.

Long Range Ultrasonic Testing (LRUT) is an advanced screening method of ultrasonic testing (UT) technique using Guided Wave technology. The system transmits lamb waves signals (with multiple frequencies) and the waves propagate along the pipe wall to detect any abnormal signals and returns back to the receiver for data acquisition.

PETRONAS Penapisan Terengganu (PPT), Malaysia 2015 (LRUT) March 2015
Road crossing Long Range Ultrasonic Testing (LRUT) perform on various range of pipe diameter for Petronas Penapisan Terengganu (PPT), Malaysia. LRUT is an advance screening method of NDT to inspect lengthy pipelines which saves the amount of time comparing to manual/conventional UT method along the pipeline. Several abnormal indications/signals were picked up by the equipment and manual UT was followed up on suspicious areas.

Survey at MMHE Pasir Gudang, Malaysia 2017 (LRUT) January 2017
Long Range Ultrasonic Testing (LRUT) site survey was performed at MMHE Pasir Gudang. Client was concerned on having a baseline inspection on their pipe spools before assembly. Provided pipe spools were not suitable to perform LRUT due to short length and LRUT would not provide the thickness of wall pipes but to screen for defects detection. All information gathered and reported to client.
